Description
The LookyBOT is a wifi assistive camera magnification camera for people with low vision who want to view classroom content on their own screen. The camera sends an enlarged live image over Wi-Fi to a laptop or tablet browser. For example, classroom boards, whiteboards and presentations can be displayed on the connected device.
The LookyBOT can also be used with printed materials. Book pages or other text can be viewed at a larger size through the camera. When printed text needs to be read aloud, the built-in OCR text-to-speech function is available. The device therefore supports two different tasks: visual magnification and reading printed text aloud.
The camera can be controlled directly in a browser. Its motorized pan, tilt and zoom functions help position the view on the required area. When needed, it can also be controlled with the included remote. Up to three devices can connect to the LookyBOT at the same time.
The LookyBOT is suited to viewing both distant content, such as classroom boards, and printed materials through a connected device. The enlarged live image appears in the browser, and OCR text-to-speech is also available for printed text.
