Luna 8
The Luna 8 is a portable video magnifier that can be used flexibly wherever you need it. Its 8-inch Full HD screen delivers a sharp, clear image, while the 13-megapixel camera ensures excellent detail. When the stand is unfolded, the camera automatically focuses on documents for reading. Folding the stand away automatically switches the device to distance viewing mode. With magnification from 2.5x to 19x and 10 high-contrast viewing modes, text becomes much easier to read.
Using the micro HDMI connection, the image can also be displayed on an external screen. The device can be charged via USB-C or with the included power adapter. Thanks to its powerful battery, the Luna 8 provides up to 8 hours of continuous use, making it ideal for work, school, or everyday activities.

Frequently asked questions
Just like a normal handheld magnifier, an electronic handheld magnifier is placed on or held against the text or image to be magnified. This is then displayed on the screen. If you place the electronic handheld magnifier directly on or up to five centimeters above a text, the image will always be sharp, allowing you to read perfectly. You can view the text in full color, but it is also possible to enhance the contrast using the special high-contrast settings. These are specially designed to make reading text as easy as possible.
The Zoomax Luna 8 is an ideal solution for people with low vision. It can be used to read both nearby and distant objects with greater ease. Whether for an 80-year-old adult or a 6-year-old child, the Luna 8 supports reading, learning, and exploring everyday life more independently.
The Luna 8 takes less than three hours to fully charge and provides up to 8 hours of continuous use on a single charge.
Your health insurance will cover the basic provision of an electronic handheld magnifier. However, the magnifier must be prescribed in advance by an ophthalmology specialist. For more detailed information regarding cost reimbursement, you can ask your health insurance provider, or please contact us for further information on the coverage of this assistive device.
